about

Previously unreleased and recorded in the same session as the tracks that became the "Eat your moneys EP" (2011), but didn't make the final cut. I (Soltes) wasn't quite happy with my final vocal take, despite many redo sessions with a very patient Rick Irby. Also, this slower song was in a complete different vein from the upbeat rockers of "Eat your moneys" and featuring a 12-string electric guitar (played by then lead guitarist, John Bevans) and even an impromptu cello part (played by then bassist, Brandon Schnedl).

lyrics

The pyroclastic flow, Pele's volcanic spit
She shakes the lithosphere, she throws her goddess fit
Ash, bombs, and blasts through the air; tear drops of lapilli
She even pulled out her hair, oh, who made Pele cry tonight?

She buries cities in a day. Just like she did with old Pompeii,
Somebody should apologize or we are gonna die tonight.

Hope your umbrella can withstand the acid
I hope your burning flesh withstands the bitter pain
We have to save our village, we have to save our plants
Invite her to our luau, 'cause Pele, she loves to dance
...take a chance

She buries cities in a day. Just like she did with old Pompeii,
Somebody should apologize or we are gonna die tonight.
